I think we will only need one truck.

Project to assist a community member with deteriorating home and property.
The person needs show positive signs of turning his life around before we can invest our time.

Note from John: A friend on this street reports no “unusual problems”, this resident.
Catholic Social Services has cut funding for most of what this person needs. They have provided phone numbers for services he can use. We are waiting for follow up with St. James leadership group for help (person/family is in St. James parish). Ray R says he can not do the work of the social worker.

Angie Duggins spoke to us about her up coming trip to Juarez, Mexico.

Juarez, Mexico

Goals:  The Christian organization ‘People Building People'. Loaded with tools and goodwill, they will travel to Juarez, Mexico to help build a safe community.  This is to provide a place to live and worship for the families that are currently living there in poverty.   Sharing our faith and completing at least one building during our time there.  Show the love of Jesus Christ through the talents that God has given us.

People Healing People: Donations

I am an RN at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati and plan to attend the medical and construction trip to Juarez, MX in June this summer.  I will be donating my medical skills and taking children (3) to volunteer their services in assisting with construction of homes. We are asking for donations to help cover the cost our trip. If you wish to support the four of us on our trip please enclose a donation. (Checks may be made out to People Building People and given to us to mail in). The cost is $520.00 per person for a total of $2080.00 for the four us. Thank You, Angie Duggins

10 Sweet Session:
I have reserved 55 campsites for the St. Ann Parish campout.   We have over 26 families already confirmed.  Father Toms is confirmed for Mass.  I will contact participants from last year to see if they want a site. My wife, Karen, is trying to come up with a theme for the campout.  She is leaning towards a country theme with a pig roast or side of beef roast.  We are looking into the feasibility of this. If we do go this route, ask some of the campers at the meeting if they would be willing to pay some money for the entree.  She is thinking of using the camper’s last name to make sides and desserts, i.e. A-N sides and O-Z desserts.

Tentatively promised; 24 seats at a Reds game this year.  The seats are in a good location, as always, and will all be together.  There should be 3 rows of 8 seats all directly behind each other.  This is what I have been told. I do not know which dates I will be getting to pick from but will try to get a good game.  Is Friday night best or Saturday day game?  Give me your thoughts from the meting after it is presented.

11 Round table and reflection.

12 Closing prayer – Hail Mary

13 Social time – we went until 9:30 with our hand full of people.
