In order to demonstrate her leadership skills, each senior at MND creates a Capstone Project which allows her to demonstrate the Characteristics of an MND Empowered Young Woman, focusing on the service component of MND’s mission. During the end of her junior year, each MND student creates a service-learning project that she executes during the summer after her junior year, or during the first semester of her senior year. The experience concludes with a Capstone Showcase evening in which every senior will have the opportunity to give a short presentation to a group of students, teachers, agency reps, parents, family members, and three panelists. During her presentation she will share her Capstone Project with the audience.

I would like invite you to participate as a panelist for our Capstone Showcase which will be held on Monday, March 19th, from 5:45 pm – 8:15 pm (5:45 light dinner, 6:30 program overview and panelist prep session, 7 – 8:15 student presentations.) The panelists will be asked to take some notes on the presentations they hear, ask questions of the presenters, and provide some positive feedback that can be given the young women. As a panelist, you will be able to help with the education of our young women and your feedback will help them grow as they prepare for their college careers and learn to live their lives as servant-leaders.

If you can help with our 2012 Capstone Showcase, please click HERE to register. We will stay in touch via email and will let you know your exact role and responsibilities when you come to MND that evening. On the registration form, you will also have the opportunity to choose a specific student or students you would like to hear present.

Thanks for your consideration and we look forward to working with you! Please contact me or Donna Groene (dgroene@mndhs.org) if you have any questions.
