FATHER
TOM - OUR PASTOR

Hi All,
Though we wear many hats in living day to day we also share the
blessing of being members of the family of St. Ann. Our family prays,
plays and works together and in every way we can make known that God is
the heart of our family and that faith is our inspiration and our purpose.
It is wonderful sharing with you some of the deepest and dearest truths
of life. Thank you for helping to make a home here at St. Ann.
Father Tom Dennemann
I was born and raised in Norwood where my family attended St. Matthew
until we moved above our bakery in Oakley and finished grade school days
at St. Cecilia.
We all (6 kids) worked in the
shop but it came with many perks, all the cookies you could eat and the
simple joy of shared days together and all they brought with them.
High school was at Purcell
and my education continued at Xavier, the army/national guard and after,
I entered the seminary in ’65 - St. Gregory and Mt. St. Mary.
Ordained in 1973, my
assignments have been at Holy Family/Our Lady of Grace and teaching at
Seton High School, St. Mary in Hyde
Park while working at Ursuline, Marian and Marian/Purcell (found my old
locker). I was then transferred to St. Catharine in western hills
followed by 13 years at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in
Mt. Repose (on Buckwheat Road, would
you believe it) and now am beginning my 8th year at St. Ann
and it has been great.
Hobbies include sports,
theater, travel, literature, baking, construction (luckily), all kinds
of board games and cards, physical fitness and film with popcorn.
I am truly enjoying my stay
at St. Ann. Having Fr. Tony to share the parish is a great blessing as
are all of you as well as the Franciscans next door. |
