CONSTITUTION OF THE COMMUNICATION COMMISSION OF
ST. ANN'S PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

ARTICLE 1 - NAME
The name of this commission shall be Communications Commission of the St. Ann Parish Pastoral Council, Groesbeck, Cincinnati, Ohio 45239.

ARTICLE 2 - PURPOSE
The purpose of the Communications Commission shall be to communicate through written and oral words, any spiritual and temporal matters which may be of interest to our parish family and to the community.

ARTICLE 3 - FUNCTIONS

  1. To service the Parish Pastoral Council, its commissions, all parish members and the local community through various types of communication.
  2. To communicate plans, decision, actions and programs of Parish Pastoral Council, its commissions, or any parish group and results thereof
  3. To use whichever means is most appropriate — e.g. minutes, bulletin, website, newsletters, radio, television, newspapers—to communicate effectively.

ARTICLE 4 - MEMBERSHIP

  1. Communications Commission shall consist of no less than five (5) members in addition to the parish staff representative and the duly elected Communications Commission Representative on the Parish Pastoral Council.

  2. Members shall be appointed or approved by a majority of this Communications Commission members and approved by the Parish Pastoral Council.

ARTICLE 5 - OFFICERS
A - The Communications Commission shall by a majority vote select one among them to serve as chairperson to preside over the Commission meetings. The term of office shall be one (1) year. The chairperson may be reelected for another one (1) year period, with a limit of three (3) consecutive terms.

B - Member of the Communications Commission shall by a majority vote select one among them to serve as Secretary to record the actions of the Commission The term of office shall be two (2) years, with no limitation on terms served.

C - Members of the Communications Commission shall, by a majority vote select one among them to serve as Alternate Representative to the Parish Council to serve the same term as the elected Communications Commission Representative on Parish Pastoral Council. The Alternate Representative shall have full voting power at any Parish Council meeting the Alternate Representative attends for the elected Representative.

D - Members of the Communications Commission shall annually select a member to oversee the Development Goals of the Commission:

E. Officers shall be elected in May of each year with terms to begin with June meeting.

ARTICLE 6 - MEETINGS
The Communications Commission shall have monthly meeting at a time convenient for the Commission members.

ARTICLE 7 - PROCESS OF AMENDING THIS CONSTITUTION
This constitution may be amended by general consensus after one reading at a regular meeting of the Commission subject to the approval of Parish Council
