NATIONALLY ACCLAIMED ELDERCARE AUTHOR TO SPEAK ON FAMILY CAREGIVING Llanfair Retirement Community Hosts Joy Loverde to Give Practical Advice on Getting Help and Planning for the Future (Cincinnati, Ohio) -- When faced with questions about caring for aging parents and loved ones, eldercare planning can seem overwhelming; but in an upcoming presentation, acclaimed family caregiving expert, Joy Loverde will provide some practical solutions on getting help while juggling work and family responsibilities. Loverde will also be available for questions. Loverde’s presentation, “Where to Start, Questions to Ask, How to Find Help with Joy Loverde,” is sponsored by Llanfair Retirement Community, a continuing care retirement community in Cincinnati, Ohio. The presentation will take place at 5:30 pm, Thursday, March 1 at Llanfair Retirement Community’s Campus Center Great Room, 1701 Llanfair Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224. For many adult children, the subject of eldercare is both pertinent and timely. A recent U.S. Census Bureau report revealed that the face of America is rapidly changing, with the population of people 65 and older on the rise and the expected 78 million Baby Boomers to bring a surge to the family caregiver demographic. While best known for her book, “The Complete Eldercare Planner,” published by Random House (2009, Updated and Revised), Loverde has also appeared as a spokesperson for eldercare planning on national programs such as NBC’s “The Today Show” and CBS’s “Early Show,” in addition to print interviews in publications such as USA Today and the Wall Street Journal. Loverde’s work is endorsed by The White House Conference on Aging, American Medical Association, Alzheimer’s Association, Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Counseling Association, among many others. “We are thrilled to be able to invite adult children who live in the area to Joy’s presentation,” said Sheena Parton, Executive Director of Llanfair Retirement Community. “Her expertise will be beneficial to people who are in the middle of managing the care of aging parents as well as those who are just beginning to plan ahead.
