Cross the Bridge for Life

Sunday, June 1, 2008, 2:00 p.m., Join hundreds of pro-life families from the Greater Cincinnati area in a peaceful walk for the protection of human life across the "Purple People Bridge" spanning the Ohio River from Sawyer Point in Cincinnati to Newport on the Levee in Kentucky.  Meet at the World Peace Bell Center 421 Monmouth Street, Newport, KY.  The ringing of the peace bell will start the event at 2:00 p.m.  Bagpipers will lead us to the Purple People Bridge and back.  Check the website (www.crossthebridgeforlife.com) for up-to-date walk information and for a short video of last year’s event.  For more details and information, call Ohio & Indiana (Jackie Carney 513-244-5700) and Kentucky (JoElla Manella 859-802-8336). Entertainment will be provided and due to our generous sponsors, the event is free, including Cross the Bridge T-shirts. The walk will end back at the World Peace Bell with music provided through Greater Cincinnati Rock for Life. Bands scheduled to appear are Popple and Last Day. This year Brian Patrick, host of the Son Rise Morning Show on Sacred Heart Radio, will be honorary chair for the event.
